PROGRAM NOTE

Wushu Duel is homage to the composers love of Kung Fu cinema and the many films of Bruce Lee. The work is like a competition, a grand battle with two masters, one of wind and the other of string. The two imitate each instruments greatests strengths and a cheoropgrahpy is developed that lead from a duel into a more harmonious duo.
