PROGRAM NOTE

Inspired by the art of Calligraphy, this short and blazingly fast work strives to capture the wild arcs and waves of this east asian art. The music is a perpetual motion with sudden outburst of energy, flourshing lines and propulsive rhythmic drive. This represents  the curvatures, squiggles, blots and lines of a calligrphers brush to a canvas; a kind of musical calligraphy.
