Desiderata will be part of a 4-part radio series called Taloa: an exploration of music by American Indian and Māori composers which explores how American Indian and New Zealand Maori musicians have synthesized aspects of their cultures and traditional music with classical forms. The series is hosted by Jerod Tate and will feature the work of several dozen Native and Maori composers. A paternership with WFMT 94.7 Chicago and Radio New Zealand, the series will be live streamed online at www.wfmt.com on Friday evenings 8pm Central throughout the month of November.
