SONGS OF THE KISAENG was chosen as a winner of The Chicago Ensemble's Discover America VIII series with a performence to occur in the next few seasons.
The Chicago Ensemble has always been devoted to the discovery and encouragement of American composers. The Discover America competition receives submissions from composers all over the country. Winning entries are performed at special and regular season concerts of The Chicago Ensemble. This program encourages composers at all stages of their careers, giving them much-needed opportunities to have their works performed, as well as bringing unfamiliar and sometimes challenging works to Chicago chamber music audiences.
