Awarded First Prize in the 2013 MMTA/MTNA Commissioned Composition Competition. The award comes with a $1500 commission for a new work which will premiered at the state conference in Kalamazoo, MI in October. The new work will be composed for the Western Wind Quintet in residence at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
