PROGRAM NOTE
Poem consists of three movements composed for the Hawaii Youth Symphony. Each movement explores an expressive musical range from the sorrowful, dramatic and tragic to the nostagic. The imagery of my Hawaii home was a major influence on these movements, with the landscape of lush landscapes, crystaline blue, giving way to many songful melodies.
