BIG RIP

PROGRAM NOTE

The big rip is a rip in the universe resulting from the ever-expanding explosion that started it all, the Big Bang. Eventually the expansion of the universe will take its toll, much like a balloon being over-inflated, and all that is known and unknown will end violently in one cataclysmic rip. The work incorporates musical and gestural rips conveying the idea of something being ripped violently apart.
